7 steps to protect your mental health and well being.

When things get tough, loss of job, loss of lively-hood, family struggles, relationship issues and pressure comes from almost everywhere... its very difficult to see the road out.
Life seems to  be overwhelming! It can be devastating!

I recently went through this myself, Pressure was coming from every side in my mind and I really struggled to find the way out.

Emotionally I fought with everything that I had. I believed I was OK. I believed I could get through it myself. My ego would not let myself get help.
It was telling me to not be weak, not be soft... this is just a stepping stone to great achievements. 

"if you can handle this you can handle anything!" I kept affirming to myself.

Some of this was right, some was wrong.
I learnt a few things, I want to share to help you avoid this trap.

Three quick mistakes I  made before we get onto a solution.

​1. Believing you are OK. Listen to your mind, if you feel like you are not OK for a second. You are not OK. Get help.

2. Drop the ego. It's OK to not be OK. You are not expected to know everything is this world, you will have experiences where you will not know what to do. Thats OK.

3. Failure is just learning, don't take it to heart. I'm pretty good at this. Lots of practice (lol)
But if you can't admit your mistakes, you'll never learn from them.

NOW ONTO A SOLUTION.


You need to understand your mind works a certain way.
It's primary job is to keep you safe and alive. It want's to keep you from harm.
Security is its natural thought process.
This is dangerous. Why?
Because freedom requires risk. Your brain doesn't like risk.

Once you understand the 7 step process of how your mind works, you will be AWARE and able to change the outcome.


1. Vulnerability
In your mind, when something goes wrong..... you feel like its a vulnerability of you. Which creates uncertainty. This can come from any aspect of what you fear about yourself.

A: This does not have the be case, its the story you tell yourself


2. Prompting Event
A certain event from the past gets re-created inadvertently OR something totally new happens which brings back memories of last time you failed. These can be totally unconscious events.

A: You have to be aware of whats happening. 


3. Thoughts
Here's where I feel we all have trouble, the events above create the thoughts in your mind. If negative, You replay these thoughts over and over. As your brain tries to keep you secure, it actually creates a cycle of fear.

A: You need to control your thoughts and the story you tell yourself, self confidence can be key here. After all you have control.


4. Emotions.
Thoughts create emotions. The Cycle above amplifies and becomes dangerously destructive when you attach emotions to the thoughts and vulnerability. When you attache emotions, its very easy to become irrational and make bad decisions.

A: STOP! Breathe deep into your body and breathe out emotion, feel these sensations and release the anxiety. When you learn how to control the cycle above, you can stay logical about the emotion and stop it from affecting you - also find solutions!

5. Body Sensations
If emotions take over, your body can feel the full brunt of the force.
Crying
Stress 
Fear
Anger 
Eating and Addictions.
Anything else that make you feel safe.

A: The best course of action here is to find something that will build you up! Not break you down. Like eating healthy and Gym at reasonable levels. Take out healthy frustrations.


6. Problem Behavior
This is the outcome and where many lose themselves.
Vulnerability, Prompting events, Thoughts, emotions and Body sensations all lead to here.
This can be a minor issue, or a devastating issue.
The cycle above creates problem behaviors which can absolutely destroy peoples lives.
This also leads to....

7. Consequences
This is the endgame. If this cycle takes over your mind and you loose yourself, the consequences can be minor or severe.
Any consequence you have had brought upon you from the outside world has been manifested inside of you at some stage.


Now you understand that you are in full control, you have the keys to happiness, fear, struggle, uncertainty, doubt and confidence.

It's all in your mind, but your mind can make it physical.

With so many external forces trying to hold you back, keep you in fear, subconsciously make you believe that you cannot create your life. It actually makes me sick.
It's your FULL TIME Job to be aware of this cycle.


Politicians think they control the people, Television playing consistent negative and fear inducing emotional stories. Also everyday people who manipulate and attempt to bring you into this state via leveraging others.
It's absolutely disgusting.

But you have the key.


What you take in every morning and every day subconsciously creates your thoughts and emotions.

Reset your life!
Protect your thoughts, Protect your mind.
Don't let negative influences control you.
